DFSI Programs and Services

 

Behavioral Health After School After-school social, emotional, and behavioral support programs which help students build positive relationships and develop emotional coping skills.

DFSI Community Night An annual event which brings DFSI families and students together to learn about affordable and accessible summer programs, after-school programs, and other community resources.

Fix the Foundation A before-school reading intervention program for first graders that helps students develop independent reading and comprehension skills. This is a past project that DFSI is hoping to renew.

Jumbo's Kitchen An after-school cooking program taught by students from the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition which teaches students about healthy eating.

Do Something An after school club focusing on community service and how easily students can make a difference.

Elizabeth Aldenderfer, DFSI Community Liaison, visits each partner school one afternoon per week, and helps connect families with programs and services in the area.
