Speak Up: Breaking Barriers, Building Healthy Families. An interactive, 2-day conference on domestic violence in the community. Register Here!

Day 1: Saturday, April 30th, from 9am-3:30 pm at DotHouse Health (1353 Dorchester Ave in Dorchester) and nearby venues. 

  • Hear keynote from Rev. Traci Jackson Antoine, Director of the Domestic/Sexual Violence Training and Education Program, Urban League of Eastern MA
  • Increase education and awareness around DV
  • Choose from 9 exciting workshops: ­know your rights, crisis intervention, keeping the faith, engaging men, shelter supports, teen dating violence, impact of DV on children, and barriers to care for both undocumented immigrants and LGBTQ survivors

If attending Day 1, be sure to register for “Day 1: DV Education & Awareness” and two of the following workshops. Session descriptions can be found in tickets.

Day 2: Tuesday, May 3rd, from 5:30-8:30pm at Viet-AID (42 Charles St in Dorchester). 

  • Hear about DV legislation at the city and state level
  • Voice your concerns on how DV issues are addressed in the North Dorchester community
  • Advocate for systemic changes around DV issues through a community brainstorm
  • Discuss next steps for keeping the community informed and engaged

If attending Day 2, be sure to register for “Day 2: Advocacy & Outreach.”
