Mayor Walsh presents Boston's first Citywide Community Yard Sale which will take place on June 28 and 29. This event will be organized by Greenovate Boston. Greenovate Boston seeks to promote the reuse and recycling of goods as well as the reduction of bulk waste sent to the curb. Mayor Walsh said that "Yard sales are a great way for residents to divert waste, save money, and even get to know your neighbors better." Residents can participate by hosting a yard sale on June 28 or 29, and register online at 
On July 2 from 6pm to 8pm, a National Park Ranger will conduct a guided walk of Franklin Park called "Country in the City."
