Dorchester Arts Collaborative Camp | Aug 19 to 30

Dorchester Arts Collaborative presents an Arts & Crafts Camp for children ages 6-12. Don't miss this grand opportunity at the Erick Jean Center for the Arts (157a Washington Street in Dorchester). The camp will start on August 19 and end on August 30 and go from 1pm to 3pm (M - F). $50 per 5-day session; $15 for single 2-hr session. The Elsie Frank Walk | Sept. 28

The Elsie Frank Walk for Kit Clark Senior Services will take place on September 28 from 8am to 11am at Pope John Paul II Park in Dorchester. Elsie was a passionate champion for elders. She served as President of the Massachusetts Association of Older Americans and was a delegate to President Clinton's White House Council on Aging. The Elsie Frank Walk offers the option of walking a 2k, 4k or 6k route. All participants, including those who choose not to walk, are invited to join in the celebration! ParkScience Children's Festival | August 20

The ParkScience Boston Children's Festival returns to Franklin Park on August 20 from 10am to 2pm. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department invite children to participate in this free and fun outdoor event. PNCA Summer Gathering | August 20

3rd Annual Peace Rally & Walk | August 15

Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation invites you, your friends and your family to attend the third annual Peace Rally & Walk! Not to mention the Roller Skating Party and BBQ afterwards! Fairmount Greenway Bike Ride | August 17

The Fairmount Greenway Task Force (FGTF) will be hosting Fairmount Greenway on the Move. This event is a bike ride along the Fairmount Greenway on August 17 from 10:30am to 1:00pm. This guided tour will run from South Bay to Mattapan before returning to Upham's Corner. It will be a leisurely pace of 9 miles. No bike? No problem. The FGTF will have some bikes available that participants can use, which will be picked up and returned to South bay. Please bring plenty of water and a snack. Helmets are strongly encouraged. National Health Center Week | August 15

Celebrate National Health Center Week with the Codman Square Health Center on August 15 from 1pm to 5pm at the Codman Square Farmers' Market.
