Boston Garden Council Speaker Series | June 14

Boston Natural Areas Network and the Boston Garden Council are holding a panel discussion with food justice advocates, nutritionists, and representatives from hunger relief organizations on how a community can work together to increase access to fresh produce throughout Boston.

2nd Boston Bike Friday | June 15

This Friday June 15 marks the 2nd Boston Bike Friday of the season, and DotBike is inviting all the bikers in Dorchester to meet up at 7AM in Peabody Square (on the plaza in front of Ashmont Cycles) or at 7:10AM in Fields Corner (intersection of Adams St. and Dot Ave) to ride together up Dot Ave and to City Hall Plaza where a festival/breakfast will mark the finish line.  Help make the Dorchester convoy the largest and enjoy a pleasent Friday morning ride with other bike enthusiasts.  See more details and RSVP HERE.

5th Annual Summer Solstice Tea Dance | June 24

Join Dot OUT as they host their 5th Annual Summer Solstice Tea Dance at DBar on Sunday June 24th from 4PM - 8PM.  The evening will consist of drinks, games, and music provided by Kiss 108's DJ Gay Jim.  There will be a chance to win amazing prize package for those that come and pay the suggested $10 donation, which will help support a Dorchester-based charity.  More information can be found by going to dotOUT.org.

Boston City Singers Magical Night of Music | June 23

South Africa meets Boston as Imilonji Kantu Choral Society and Boston City Singers combine for a special night of traditional and gospel song and dance. Johannesburg, South Africa-based Imilonji Kantu Choral Society have performed at numerous world events including state visits,  sporting events, the presidential inauguration of Nelson Mandela and his successor president Thabo Mbeki, and at the enthronement of Nobel Peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The organization’s name loosely translates to “sweet sounds struggle for peace.”

Free Painting Workshop at Geneva Cliffs | June 9

ParkARTS of Boston is pleased to announce a free watercolor painting workshop for residents ages 9 or older at Geneva Cliffs Urban Wild Sat., June 9 from 12PM to 2PM.
