Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy's 100 Violinists | June 11

On Monday June 11th @ 6PM, Boston Landmarks Orchestra will be presenting a concert featuring 100 violinists from Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy, along with Brass Favorites and Penny Whistle Band. Among the musical pieces being played are "This Land is Your Land" and "America the Beautiful". 

The concert will take place in Dorchester Park (next to 2200 Dorchester Avenue) with a rain location set at the Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy Gymnasium (2214 Dorchester Avenue).

Wind Turbine Tour, "Dirty Business" at IBEW | June 16

See the exciting film Dirty Business - a screening is happening at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 103 building in Dorchester, MA. Cultural District Meeting | May 23

The Dorchester Cultural Districts Meeting will now take place on  Wednesday May 23 from 4-6pm  at the Strand Theater in Uphams Corner. Meri Jenkins from the Massachusetts Cultural Council will again join the group and give a presentation and answer questions on the Cultural Districts Program and how to get started.

Dorchester Lacrosse Starts | May 25

Just a reminder that registration for the summer league is open. We are working on playing at BC High this summer, fingers crossed.…..another reminder that the kids can bring the packets to practice or drop them off 181 Milton Street for our fundraiser.  MORE INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND: HERE.

The boys U11(5:15p) and boys U13(6:15p) are both playing at home on Wednesday night 5/23 please have theboys down there as early as possible.  

If your son/daughter have not received a packet please see your coach at practice.  If you need more tickets please ask your coach at practice and we will provide more for you to sell. We are offering all kinds of prizes for the highest sellers.

Dorchester FAMILY School Initiative Celebrates | June 13

On Wednesday June 13th the Dorchester FAMILY School Initiative is celebrating a year of hard work with a fundraiser! DFSI is trying to reach a $25,000 goal via the Marathon Fundraiser and everyone is invited! There will be a raffle for all guests attending.
