JFK Library Forum: Thomas Jefferson, The Politician | Jan 16

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham discusses his latest book, Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power, with veteran journalist Mike Barnicle. This forum will be held on Wednesday, January 16 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Stephen Smith Hall at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbia Point, Dorchester.

Valentine’s Day Dance Party for LGBT Youth | Feb. 9

On February 9th, 2013, Boston Latino Pride is hosting their very first Valentine’s Day Dance Party for LGBT Youth with Special Guest from RuPaul’s Drag Race Stars Mystique Summers. DJ Lady Spindrift will be spinning the Hottest Latin, Hip Hop and Top 40 Music. 

Doors open at 7PM at The Harriet Tubman House: 566 Columbus Avenue, Boston.

Only 125 Youth are allowed at this event due to capacity limitation, we are offering online ticket sales  You can buy pre-sale Tickets by Clicking Here for $5. If you plan to buy your ticket at the door it will be $7 dollars.

Viet-AID Tet Festival | Feb 23

Join Viet-AID in celebrating the 2013 Lunar New Year at the Tet Festival Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 11:00am until 3:00pm. There will be Lion Dances and Firecrackers to start the New Year the right way! Come meet your neighbors and enjoy some fun times.

Franklin Park Snow Festival | Jan. 26

Enjoy winter at the Franklin Park Snow Festival Saturday, February 2nd from 1:00-4:00pm at the Franklin Park Golf Clubhouse.  Go sledding, try out snowshoes, build snow people, and track animal prints with a Boston Nature Center naturalist. Bring your own cross country skis for park touring at 1:30pm. There will be some sleds to borrow, but brings yours if you have one. You can warm up with hot chocolate and board games in the clubhouse.

Community Health Education Speaker series | Jan 8

Join Upham's Corner Health Center for a special year-long Community Health Education Speaker series next Tuesday at at UCHC's ground floor, from 6 - 7 PM, to talk about Childhood Asthma.  A speaker from Boston Medical Center will speak on the topic, and a light dinner will be provided.
