2nd Annual World AIDS Day at the State House | Dec. 5

Representatives Carl Sciortino, Gloria Fox, and Sarah Peake invite you to the 2nd annual World AIDS Day at the State House (Nurses's Hall, Beacon St.) from 1-2PM on Wednesday. 

This year's commemoration is in honor of Youth Living with HIV/AIDS and supported by the 187th General Court, the LGBT and Black & Latino Caucuses, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and local AIDS Service Organizations.

Public Voice Project "TELL-EBRATION" | Dec. 10

Come celebrate with the Public Voice Project on Monday, December 10th at 6:30 PM at the Grove Hall Community Center (51 Geneva Ave, Dorchester).

The Public Voice Project, sponsored by the City Mission Society of Boston, provides storytelling and public speaking training for adults and teens. Participants receive hours of training from experienced storyteller Lani Peterson.  The "Tell-ebration" is their chance to share their new skills with family, friends, and CMS supporters.

Out of School Time: Robotics | Dec. 17

Come on down to the Codman Square Branch of the Boston Public Library on Monday Dec. 17th for a two-hour robotic workshop.  Students in grades 6-8 will learn how to build a robotic bug. Sticks, Stones, & Words: a panel discussion at Fenway | Nov. 27

The Boundless series presents a panel discussion on how language affects various aspects of women’s lives. The discussion will focus on language’s damaging effects as well as its ability to heal and empower. Audience participation will be encouraged. Panelists include: Dr. Yvonne Gomez-Carrion—OB/GYN at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Ashley-Rose Salomon—spoken-word poet and mental wellness educator, and Amanda Villani—student of women, gender, and sexuality studies at Harvard University.
