Canoeing at Mother Brook Mill Pond Oct. 6

Beginner and experienced canoers, here is a chance for you to canoe for free.You can learn the basics of paddling a canoe or just cruise along the pond. All you have to do is register because space is limited. There will be two sessions. One beginning at 10am and the other at 11am. Open Mic This Friday Sept. 28

Do you sing, rap, make people laugh, dance or have anything else you want to share? This Friday (Sept. 28) Dot 2 Dot is having an open mic night. Starts at 6pm and they will be serving food. So even if you do not want to sing, rap, or make people laugh come out and hear other people and eat some great food while doing it. It's happening at 1739 Dorchester Ave. Dorchester, Ma.

Square Dance on the Hill Oct. 6th

Grab your hat and boots and graze on up at Meetinghouse Hill for their annual square dance. First Parish will be hosting the square dance from 7-9pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012. They are located at 10 Parish St. Dorchester, MA. Tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family.

Calling all young singers!!! Boston City Singers has openings in their chorus training program. Boston City Singers performs music from all ages and cultures , while learning music concepts, and musical skills. The programs runs weekly after school and is open to children ages 7-18. Artist for Humanities Open House | Sept. 18

Artist for Humanities (AFH) is hosting its first open house Tuesday, Spetember 18, 2012. AFH employs city teens to work in a variety of art media learning new skills, making art, and performing creative design services for business clients. The program will provide training and real world experience as well as opportunities for advancement not to mention that it's a great way to earn some extra money while doing something you love. If you are a high school student who loves to paint, sculpt, design or take photograhs, this is a excellent opportunity for you!
