Are we for Mass Incarceration?  Or are we for Job Creation? It's time to take DIRECT ACTION!

Family Acceptance | June 25

event flyer

The Stigma Subcommittee of Connect-to-Protect (C2P) Boston, in partnership with the Our Health Matters Project and Fenway Health, are organizing an event around family acceptance and LGBTQ youth of color.

The goal of the event is to gather families of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and questioning children/teens/young adults of color and their allies for a movie screening of “These are Our Children Too,”* followed by a dialogue around common challenges, successes and shared experiences of families who have had a wide range of responses to learning that their children are LGBT. This event will provide a safe space for families of color to connect with other families of LGBTQ youth of color and build stronger relationships, encourage support and promote the health and well-being of LGBT youth of color in Boston. We hope this will be the first of many more conversations as we strive to address and support LGBTQ youth of color and their families.
