Family Fun Film Series | August 10th

Mask of Zorro will be screening as part of the Family Fun Film Series. A thief, seeking revenge over the death of his beloved brother, is trained by the once great, but aged Zorro, who is also seeking revenge of his own. The film runs 2 hours and 18 minutes and is rated PG-13. Start your week off with some real family fun with a great film (Film is rated PG-13).

End Of Summer Reading Party | August 7th

For those who have enjoyed a few good books during the summer A party of games and prizes will be hosted to end summer reading this Friday.  Refreshments will be served and it will be a celebration on August 7th at Dudley Branch Of The Boston Public Library starting at 1 PM.  Go and start your weekend off right with a celebration

Boston 2050 High Water Exhibition Reception | August 6th

Teens (ages 13-18) Young Adults, College Students, Businesses, Seniors, Visitors are all weclomed to Boston 2050 High Water Reception at the Grove Hall Branch Public Library on August 6th at 5:30 PM. Come hear special guest civil rights speakers and artist in the exhibit who will be there to discuss their work and enjoy visual arts for free as you hear about the environmental changes to affect the future.

West Roxbury Main Street Movie Night | August 13th

West Roxbury Main Streets is having a movie night August 13th ! They are presenting Big Hero 6 at the East Boston Savings Bank parking lot in West Roxbury starting at 7:30 PM. Cold beverages and snacks will be provided for movie watchers and blankets and chairs are suggested to be comfotable while enjoying the movie.

Kids Fun Run | September 12th

In Addition to the 5K walk on Sept 12th hosted by the Dimock Center Reimagine Play and PlayWorks are hosting a "Kids Fun Run". This gives the opportunity for the kids to get active with  their parents (as child care is not provided during the Kids Fun Run) as well as get some good excercise while having a ton of fun. The event is free, begins at 9 AM and you must register your kid and yourself to participate in the fun run.

National Night Out | August 4th

We got some good news for you! On August 4th come celebrate your neighborhood with Boston Police Commisioner William Evans as well the Mayor of Boston Marty Walsh at Townfield Park in Dorchester! The food, fun and games will all start at 5PM. Enjoy hearing the many strides that the BPD and The Watch Unit are taking to enusre a safe community and see the watch groups get acknowleged for trying to make everyone safe.  Also there will be food, live entertainment and plenty of activities for the kids to do.

Discover Roxbury Jazz At The Fort | August 2nd

Sunday August 2nd at Highland Park on Fort Avenue in Roxbury's Fort Hill Neighborhood there will be a Jazz show feauturing "The Bill Pierce Collective" and Berkeley City Music All-Stars starting at 5 PM. Multi Cultural Festival | August 8

The DSNI is hosting a multi-cultural fair August 8 starting 12 Noon at Mary Hannon Park (Dudley Park) on Dudley Street in Dorchester. Go out and celebrate the melting pot of cultures in your community next saturday with live entertainment, cultural food vendors and plenty of give aways and hours of fun for the kids.

Food For Thought | August 5- September 9th

Boston-Suffolk County Family Resource Center will be offering a nutrition and wellness group for caregivers called Food For Thought starting next Wednesday, August 5th all the way into September from 10:30 am to 12 pm EVERY Wednesday . Looking for approximately 6-8 caregivers to take part in the group.
