Men's Prostate Health Summit at Dorchester YMCA | Sept. 17

Join medical experts and prostate cancer survivors to learn more about the latest in prostate cancer treatment and care.

The Summit — sponsored by Carney Hospital— will include breakfast, educational information, a free PSA screening and the opportunity to ask questions.

USCIS Info Session at the Fields Corner Branch BPL | Aug. 30

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will present an info session.

An immigration officer will:
1) Answer general immigration questions on eligibility requirements and process.
2) Show how to find safe, low-cost, or no-cost assistance and legal advice.
3) Describe how to check on your application.

Men of Boston | Oct. 6

Codman Square Health Center will proudly present it's 19th annual fundraising event, Men of Boston Cook for Women's Health 2016, on Thursday evening October 6, 2016 to raise funds and awareness to improve women's health in our community. Each year more than 800 supporters gather under the Gala Tent at 637 Washington Street in Dorchester to enjoy delectable samplings from Boston's finest restaurants served by celebrity male chefs who represent a veritable "who's who" from Boston's business, political, entertainment, and hospitality worlds.

The Tilt Down Fence Project | Sept. 3

The Tilt-Down Fence, a public art installation project sited near the Fields Corner Bus Stop, serves the local immigrant population residing in Dorchester. The one-month installation is a series of 7 ladders that transforms into picnic tables at Fields Corner that will activate the space to bring communities together. The fence is a metaphor [the economic ladder] that has purpose -a climbing structure and a framework for adults to gather, support and network towards upward mobility.
