42nd Annual Boston Caribbean Carnival | Aug 29

The Carnival begins in Roxbury this Saturday, August 29, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Warren Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard and ends in Dorchester at Franklin Park along Blue Hill Avenue.

The Trinidadian-style Carnival includes always includes a variety island cultures and representations which help to transform Boston into a stream of colorful costumes and passionate Caribbean sounds, and dance.

Come out this Saturday and enjoy the best of Caribbean art, food, dance, and entertainment.

The Boston Caribbean Carnival, founded by the late Ken Bonaparte Mitchell and Ivy Ponder in 1973, annually attracts more than 600,000 people to Boston, and it has the distinction of being one of the nation’s most successful and longest running carnivals.
