The Dorchester Youth Council invited youth to help bring awareness to the litter problem in the community, help increase public knowledge of the impacts of litter and provide ways everyone can make a difference in keeping Dorchester litter-free...and these are the video entries!

The Dorchester Youth Council will now be accepting print PSAs (including posters, comic strips, photograph PSAs, or radio PSAs) in addition to video PSAs. Also, due to a generous donation of $1000 from SCI (Social Capital Inc.), the Dorchester Youth Council has been able to award three cash prizes for the Dorchester Youth Council Anti-Litter PSA Contest. The Dorchester Youth Council will review all PSAs and choose the winners of the PSA contest. Winners of the Dorchester Youth Council Anti-Litter PSA Contest will receive:
First Place: $750
• Second Place: $450
• Third Place: $300

DEADLINE EXTENDED: Friday May 21, 2010

If you are awarded first, second or third prize you must hold an awareness night premiering your PSA to an audience making others aware of solutions to the litter problem in Dorchester. You must include a speaking portion of the awareness night explaining the community service learning project you will complete with the money awarded from the Dorchester Youth Council Anti-Litter Video Contest. Those who create a print PSA must follow the rules and guidelines of the Dorchester Youth Council Anti-Litter Video Contest.

Submit your Don’t Spot the Dot Video (or print PSA): Your video should bring awareness and solutions to the litter issue in the Dorchester community.

Please refer to the Official Mini Grant Consent Form, Mini Grant Rules and Video Contest Application attached below. In order to be eligible to participate in this contest you must read and fill out these forms as directed.

For videos: Your video, as submitted, should be no more than 2 minutes. You must submit your video in .MPEG or .WMV format. Please submit your video to YouTube and send us the link to your video, we will then link your video on YouTube to our site,
