volunteers to tutor and mentor Boston
Public School students.
You don’t need any previous tutoring experience to participate—just a
willingness to work with students and help them reach for their highest
potential!

 

Our volunteers work with one student during the school day
and in some after school and Saturday morning programs for one hour (or more)
each week. Opportunities are available in all grades, K-12, in the areas of
math and literacy. During the application process, we provide training in
mentoring and tutoring, as well as a personal interview and a reference check
to ensure a successful experience.

An introduction to the concept of environment and the elements that make up a quality OST program. Dorchester community and civic organizations and social service agency leaders are invited to
a special meeting on organizing against the Question 1 referendum on
the fall ballot. It will be held Friday September 5 at 9:00 AM at the
Codman Square Health Center

Washington Street.  Question 1, if passed, would eliminate the state
income tax which means a 40% or $12 billion cut in the state budget.
This would mean huge cuts in public safety, health care, education,
housing, etc. programs funded by the state and city budgets.  For more

year will be here soon and Boston Partners in Education is looking for
volunteers to tutor and mentor Boston
Public School students.
You don’t need any previous tutoring experience to participate—just a
willingness to work with students and help them reach for their highest
potential!

 

Our volunteers work with one student during the school day
and in some after school and Saturday morning programs for one hour (or more)
each week. Opportunities are available in all grades, K-12, in the areas of
math and literacy. During the application process, we provide training in
mentoring and tutoring, as well as a personal interview and a reference check
to ensure a successful experience.

  I'm sending this email with some bad
news.  Our son-in-law Jake Severino was diagnosed in April with a
Cancerous Brain Tumor.  At that time they gave him 6 to 12 months
to live.  At the end of July they changed this time frame to 3
months as the cancer has spread to his spine.  He has been married
for a year and a half to our daughter Kelli.  They have no life
insurance and are having a hard time keeping with all the expenses his
illness has brought on.  We are having a fundraiser for him on:
