Boston Alliance for Community Health Speak Up! Event

Boston Alliance for Community Health (BACH) is partnering with 10 organizations to host a 2-day cross neighborhood conversation on community health in North Dorchester. Bowdoin Geneva, Fields Corner, Grove Hall, and Uphams Corner share many of the same community concerns around mental wellness, domestic violence, sexual health, and community violence. These neighborhoods have a wealth of resources, including great health centers, active community organizations, and diverse residents building the community's resiliency. The goal of BACH is to improve the coordination of systems that focuses on the key issues as a way to build community resilience and quality of life. The first day of the conversation will take place on Thursday, March 6th from 6:30 until 8:30 pm at Viet Aid located at 42 Charles Street in Dorchester. At this event attendees will be able to hear current health data presented by Boston Public Health Commission, followed by a resident panel and Q&A. The second day of the conversation will take place on Saturday, March 8th from 10 am until 1 pm at Grove Hall Public Library located at 41 Geneva Avenue in Dorchester. Residents are encouraged to come brainstorm ideas on how everyone can improve the quality of life for all residents of Dorchester.
