On Sunday, April 6 the Irish International Immigrant Center (IIIC) and Montserrat Aspirers will host their 20th Annual Black and Green Celebration. This event will take place at the Montserrat Aspirers Hall located at 358 Washington Street in Dorchester from 2-5 pm.

This event was established in 1994 as a way to foster trust and build bridges between communities in Boston. It brings together many cultures for an afternoon of great food, music, and discussion. The theme of this year's event is The Faces of Change in Boston: Our Community Challenges and Improvements. The discussion will be led  by two special guests, Massachusetts State Senator, Linda Dorcena Forry a native Bostonian and first generation Haitian-American to represent the 1st Suffolk District. The other guest is author/activist Michael Patrick MacDonald, a South Boston native.
