Auditions for a 9-12 year-old Boy to Play a Red Sox Fan, Mar. 2, 3

March 2, 2010 by Lauren Ames

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) is currently seeking a 9-12 year old boy to play the role of Robby, a "wide-eyed" baseball expert and rabid Boston Red Sox fan, in its production of Johnny Baseball.

Johnny Baseball is the new musical about the Boston Red Sox making its world premiere at the A.R.T. this spring. It is an exhilarating blend of fact, fiction, and mystical power of the game.

A.R.T. is seeking a gregarious child with genuine (almost fanatical) love of baseball. No previous acting experience is required but the child cast in this role needs to be enthusiastic, personable, intelligent, funny and empathetic. They are interested in kids of all ethnicities.
