Teen Coordinator at the Castle Square Tenants Organization

The Youth Education Program (YEP) at Castle Square is in the process of hiring a Teen Coordinator for the Technology, Youth and Education Program. The Coordinator should be experienced in youth work and will develop a teen program focused on social justice, digital youth literacy, academic achievement and recreational activities. Anticipated start date: March 21, 2011.
Castle Square Tenants Organization, Inc. (CSTO), an affordable housing development located in the South End of Boston and a strong advocate of programs and services needed to build vibrant and safe communities. This is a part-time position, ideal for someone currently preparing for a career in youth work and education. The Youth Worker is a group leader that creates and implements age -appropriate activities that should provide for growth in skills, self-awareness, group relations, and character development adolescent activities for youth ages 11-18. In addition to implementing applicable agency and Department of Early Education and Care policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate would be at least 21 years old, prior experience with youth 6-21year old, available maximum 30 hours a week between the hours of 11am and 8pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some flexibility in scheduling. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
