Family Fun Days at Wainwright Park, Jul. 23, Aug. 6, Aug. 20

Family Fun DayEnjoy Family Fun Days in Wainwright Park this summer! The fun takes place on Saturdays July 23, August 6 and August 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Family Fun Days are sponsored by St. Mark Parish and the City of Boston, with support from community organizations such as the BOLDTeens, local residents, and Area C-11 Police. These summer cookouts feature a DJ, games, sports, cotton candy, a moon bounce, and an ice cream truck. Food from the grill is provided, but those who are willing and able are asked  to bring some food to share (salad, fruit, side dish, or dessert).

3rd Annual Outside Movie Night: Jul. 22, Jul. 29 & Aug. 12

Boston City Councillor Charles C. Yancey, B.O.L.D. Teens, and the Codman Square Neighborhood Council present Codman Square’s third annual Outside Movie Night series this July and August at the Second Church of the Nazarene in Dorchester.

The movies, which will be shown every Friday at 8:00 p.m. at 600 Washington Street in Codman Square, include Wall-E on July 22, Peter Pan on July 29, and Despicable Me on August 12. The Second Church of the Nazarene (44 Moultrie St., Dorchester) provides space on the side of its building for the movie’s projection and for community members to sit on the grass. How to get involved/application guidelines and procedures: 

Stop by the BOLD Teens office on the bottom floor of the Codman Square Health Center to pick up and fill out an application to be a BOLD Teen. Application deadline is November 3rd, 2009.
