This year SCI has been able to deepen relationships with previous host sites as well as bring new host sites into the program. We are currently recruiting host sites for Fall 2014. If you think that your organization or know of another organization that would be a good fit, please look at our Host Site Application page. SCI's focus communities include: Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, Boston, Lynn, Woburn, and Fall River. We are also recruiting SCI AmeriCorps members for members for the fall, if you know anyone who might be interested in our positions, please send them this AmeriCorps Member Application Page and encourage them to apply.

Discover RoxburyEnjoy some apps with your advocacy and bring social consciousness to social networking on July 19. Join #Roxtweet, a tweet-up/networking event at Haley House Bakery Cafe (12 Dade Street, Roxbury, MA 02119-2084) designed to bring together professionals, artists, activists, foodies, and other from across sectors and industries in a relaxed community space. A special partnership with Dear World will "create an innovative photography experience to document the diverse group of participants." Social Capital Inc. (@socialcap) is one of the host organizations and MyDorchester (@mydorchester) plans to be there. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Free appetizers and cash bar! Social Capital, Inc. is now recruiting for its 2011-2012 AmeriCorps team! Five members will serve in Dorchester with DotWell while thirteen others will serve in Boston, Fall River, Lynn, Milford or Woburn. AmeriCorps positions focus on youth, community and/or technological development of civic and non-profit organizations across Massachusetts - specifics are described after the break and detailed in attached documents.
