"The Bridge" Networking Party and Fundraiser Dec. 13

Freedom House is teaming up with Fourth Wall Project to host "The Bridge" — a networking party and fundraiser in support of Freedom House. Freedom House is a Dorchester-based charity dedicated to inspiring and teaching young people in under-resourced communities to succeed academically. "The Bridge" is designed to serve as a link between professionals from a wide variety of industries and backgrounds. The event sponsors are a network of professionals in ten different industries, so expect to broaden your network of contacts and meet new people. Henderson / Harbor Fundraiser @ Blarney Stone Nov. 3

On Thursday, November 3, there will be a fundraiser to support the Henderson/Harbor Schools partnership. All are welcome! The event will be at the Blarney Stone, where you can enjoy drinks and snacks upon admission. Ashmont Nursery School Wine Tasting Event Nov. 5

Join Ashmont Nursery School's Annual Wine Tasting Party! It will be held on November 5, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tickets will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The event will feature affordable wines that are perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Wines will be supplied by Frederick Wildman and Sons and are available for purchase at the event. Wild Flavors: Haley House fundraiser Oct. 16

A fundraiser for Haley House Bakery Café, celebrating the Publication of Founding Chef Didi Emmons' New Cookbook, is happening October 16th, 3-6pm at Haley House Bakery Café, 12 Dade Street, Roxbury, MA /617 445 0900.

On October 16th, various chefs will gather at the Haley House Bakery Café in Roxbury's Dudley Square to prepare and serve dishes from Founding Chef Didi Emmons' third cookbook, Wild Flavors: One Chef's Transformative Year Cooking from Eva's Garden. Guests will sample dishes made with the absolute freshest ingredients from Eva's nutrient-rich garden by Emmons and some of Boston's finest chefs, including Robert Mancuso (The Country Club, Chestnut Hill), Asia Mei (Sam's at Louis),  and Doug Rodrigues (Clio).

Pitching for Tim Sep. 30

A South Boston child has been diagnosed with leukemia, and on September 30th, you can attend an event to support him and his family as he battles this disease. The event will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the IBEW/Local 103 on Friday, September 30th at 256 Freeport Street and will last until 11:00 p.m. The event is $25 per person, and will feature a comedian, Ballpark food, raffles, an auction, a DJ, and a cash bar. 4th Cops-4-Charity Cook-Off Sep. 23

Cook-OffThe Boston Police Department, District B-2, will be raising money to support children who need their support. So, this Friday, September 23rd, join them for a Cook-Off! Sample a variety of delicious foods for just a $10 donation towards a good cause. The event will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Boston Police Post, 500 Morton St. in Dorchester (American Legion Highway). Dot House Seeks "Masquer-Aid" Auction Items

As this is Dot House's first-ever fundraising event, the health center is starting at the grass-roots level, seeking support from community members, organizations, and businesses to make it a success. Codman Square Health Center will proudly present its annual fundraising event, Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health 2011, on Thursday evening, September 22, 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m., to raise funds and awareness to improve women’s health in our community. The Health Center is dedicated to reducing health disparities in diseases such as breast cancer, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS.
