"Laughing Wild" Performance and Fundraiser | July 17 - August 1

Hub Theatre Company of Bostonis pleased to invite you to join us this summer as we continue our third season with Christopher Durang's crazy comedy Laughing Wild, directed by IRNE award nominee Margaret Ann Brady.  

All tickets to all performances are Pay-What-You-Can, and at each performance donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for local charities.

Greenovate Boston Event with Performance by Guster | Jan 15

Special Announcement from Greenovate Boston:

On January 15, 2015, Mayor Walsh will release the Greenovate Boston 2014 Climate Action Plan Update.

The Mayor will be joined by members of the Climate Action Plan Steering Committee for a brief speaking engagement, followed by a performance by Guster, a Boston-based band. In honor of the band's Boston roots, their commitment to the environment and public service, Mayor Walsh will also declare January 15 as Guster Day in Boston.

Event is free and open to the public, but space is limited, so reserve your spot soon!

Children for Peace Concert | April 12

St. Mark's Parish

On Saturday, April 12 St. Mark's Parish will host the Boston City Singers for their 2nd Annual Children Sing for Peace Concert. This event will take place at St. Mark's Parish located at 1725 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester. This event will begin at 7 pm. Dorchester based singers- AP Harmony, Cantare, Music on Wednesday, World Rhythm Ensemble, and Tour Choir invite you to come to this hour long concert honoring Martin Richard's ideals of peace and cooperation.

Boston City Singers train and inspire the musician, student, and ambassador in each of their members. This group was founded in 1995 to provide opportunity for Boston's inner city young people. This event is free and donations are accepted.  

Tunnel Cap Concert | June 5

Students from the Epiphany School will perform the annual Tunnel Cap Concert on June 5h at 4:45pm (weather permitting). The concert takes place right outside the Shawmut T Station. The students will be performing for their families, their friends and the Dorchester community. This is just one of many ways the Epiphany School seeks to give back to its community.

Nutcracker Ballet | Dec. 14

 

The Boston Dance Company will perform the "Nutcracker" ballet at the Strand Theatre (543 Columbia Rd in Dorchester) on December 14. The performance will begin at 10am. This is the 20th season of the Boston Dance Company's annual production! This performance is enjoyable for the whole family and remember - full of magic, a growing Christmas tree, a sword-fight, snowing onstage, and spectacular dancing! The cast includes 20 professional dancers, 10 company apprentices, and 50 local children. Tickets are $25 for adults and $18 for seniors/children. Tickets can be purchased at www.bostondancecompany.net or at the door.

Spring Talent Showcase at BCYF Cleveland Community Center Apr. 27

Seekers of Knowledge and BCYF Cleveland Community Center will be presenting their Spring Talent & Cultural Showcase! All are welcome to participate. The event will be on Friday, April 27, 2012, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and is open to youth ages 5 to 18. The BCYF Cleveland Community Center is located at 11 Charles Street in Dorchester.
