Every Thursday at 10:30am the Boston Nature Center will give children an opportunity to explore the nature around them. The children will have hands on experiences with outdoor and indoor activities. This Event is suitable for children ages 3-6 years of age. Register online or call 617-983-8500 to register by phone.

Fall Forest Festival | October 5

Saturday October 5 between 1pm -4pm come celebrate the season and outdoors with art, nature and recreation at Franklin Park (Glen Road and Circuit Drive Dorchester, 02121). Hike through the Wilderness or let kids, 9 and under ride the bike rodeo between 1-4pm. Bikes for loan or bring your own. You may win a bike from Boston Bikes in the raffle at the close of the event!
 
Take a wild edible tour led by wild foods enthusiast, Russ Cohen from 2:30-4pm. Capture the Franklin Park’s beauty at a watercolor landscapes workshop taught by local artist, Lucilda Dassardo-Cooper from 1-3pm.

Run Wild 5K at Franklin Park Zoo | September 22

Have fun and run through Franklin Park Zoo.  The patch with be paved with music, games and prizes. The run starts at 8:30am on ,Sunday September 22. 

Afterwards there will be a zoo party (for 21+) featuring MAGIC 106.7 and various brewing companies. All the proceeds will support the operation of Zoo New England

In order to participate you must register at Racemenu.com Runners will also receive a T-shirt and free admission to the zoo. Run Wild at Franklin Park Zoo is produced by ZooNew England and RACE - Run Against Cancer Events.

Come out and enjoy "Jazz in the Square" on the grounds of Second Church in Dorchester, corner of Washington and Talbot Ave, Codman Square at 5pm. Bring something to eat and invite your friends and family. All are welcome.

 A  Free Community Event for children 12 years old and younger.

July 16 at 12-3 pm. On the Lawn at Second Church in Dorchester, corner of Washington St & Talbot Ave.

Features: lots of games, story time, Free Food, Bounce House, Fire Truck, Face painting, Crafts, Prizes & Surprises.
