Walkers on this tour will learn about Olmsted’s vision for Franklin Park as they visit the landscapes of Scarboro Pond, Schoolmaster Hill, the Country Park meadow, and a portion of the Wilderness, including the “99 Steps.” They will also stop at the location within today’s park where writer and philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson lived as a young man.
