theMOVE is hosting an Urban Garden Workday with The Garden Girl on September 2. The event will help TV personality Patti Moreno of Garden Girl TV. It will take place at Fort Hill in Roxbury. The event will start at 10am, and go until 1pm. At 1pm, lunch will be served. The event costs $8 for non-members and $5 for members. There are 12 more spaces available as of 8/29! Boston Compost Visioning Meeting @ BNC March 29

Boston Nature Center will be hosting a Boston Compost Visioning Meeting on Thursday, March 29, at 3:00 p.m. Come together with others interested in working together to improve and expand composting in the City of Boston. Explore the history of composting in Boston, the status of current Boston leaf composting program, which will involve a viewing or tour of the site. Dot Grows Garden Council Meeting Feb. 7

On February 7 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. attend the first Dot Grows Garden Council meeting of 2012! The February meeting will be held at 305 Talbot Ave. Dorchester (site of the Mt. Washington Bank Community Room located in Codman Square). Local gardeners and garden advocates will share updates on: renovations in Dorchester community gardens, Dorchester Winter Farmers’ Market, Boston Is Growing Gardens, and the ongoing 2012 Master Urban Gardener series, among other items. Mathew Cahill of BNAN will be on hand to announce Grow Boston Greener, a competitive grant program that will provide funding for community tree plantings in the City of Boston.
