How to get involved/application guidelines and procedures: 

There are many ways to get involved in Greater Boston PFLAG!

  • Attend a chapter meeting support group.
  • Join us at Youth Pride on the second Saturday in May. Help us support LGBT youth and their allies by cheering them on or staffing our literature table
  • March with us in the Boston Pride Parade on the second Saturday in June. Or staff our literature table, sell merchandise, or answer questions.
  • Help in our office with mailings for an hour or an afternoon.
  • Volunteer to help at an event.
  • Join one of our committees

Family Fun @ Coleman St. Playway | Sept. 1

Coleman Street Neighbors are hosting a family fun day on Coleman Street! The event will start at 2pm and go until 6pm. The event will include fun activities such as dancing, hula hoops, bike rodeo, badminton, jumping rope, art, and face painting! It will also include music and delicious food! Energy Efficiency Crew Launch Party

Celebrate with Co-op Power Boston Metro East at the Energy Efficiency Crew Launch Party on Saturday, June 2 at 2pm on the Lawn at Second Church in Dorchester, corner of Washington St & Talbot Ave, Codman Square, Dorchester, MA with music, food, tour of “green” home, and prizes. Fun for the whole family!

The Crew provides insulation, weatherization, and air sealing to homes in the Greater Boston area. Co-op Power is a consumer-owned co-operative that uses its capital and market power to build good green jobs and community-based green businesses for the benefit of the community at-large.

Family Wellness Health Fair @ Greenwood UMC | March 17

On Saturday, March 17th, Greenwood Memorial United Methodist Church Outreach Committee will present the First Annual "Wellness in March" celebrating National Nutrition Month! Featuring a free day of fitness activities including Zumba and the BBF Dance Workout and fun, featuring "The Best Bones Forever Campaign" Wellness Seminar from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Enjoy healthy snacks and beverages, great giveaways, and valuable resources and information!

Family to Family Education Program Begins Oct. 11 (Openings!)

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is offering a free "Family-to-Family Education Program." The program, a 12-week course for family caregivers of the mentally ill, runs from  7:00 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and will begin October 11, 2011. Classes take place in Fields Corner.
