Tuesdays at Tavolo Drew O'Doherty & Kenny Chambers | June 28

Tuesdays at Tavolo is a new live music series’at Tavolo Ristorante in Dorchster (Peabody Square). The series, which kicked off in February, has picked up steam and now offers a fuller music schedule including a wide range of “living room” style concerts form solo artists of Boston outfits such as The Tarbox Ramblers, The Shods, The Neats, The Del Fuegos, Come, Unnatural Axe, Expanding Man, The Moving Targets, and more. There is no cover or age restriction.

On Friday, March 7 Dot 2 Dot Cafe will host live music from Alexis Paraschos and band. This event will take place at Dot 2 Dot Cafe located at 1739 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

Alexis Paraschos and band have just released a new CD titled "Something Greater". Tickets are $20 and that includes the cover charge and tapas style plates for the evening. There will also be some special Dot 2 Dot brews being mixed throughout the night. This event is for adults 21 and older. Come enjoy some great live music and meet other Dorchester residents.

The South End Historical Society and the Boston Preservation Alliance present a fascinating musical journey as Richard Vacca, author of "The Boston Jazz Chronicles," joins us to talk about the South End's deep roots in the city's jazz history. The event will start at 6:30pm and take place at 532 Mass Ave. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is kindly requested. Aaron Larget-Caplan will perform solo and chamber music with fellow Boston Conservatory faculty members Berit Strong and Olav Chris Henriksen (guitar), Sharon Leventhal (violin) and Boston Conservatory students Nicole Parks and Farley Kelly-Masterton (violins), Faith Jones (viola) and Nora Karakousoglou (cello). The program includes four works specially written for Larget-Caplan, including two by Boston Conservatory faculty members Jim Dalton and Kevin Siegfried.

Jazz Under Glass | Feb. 24

Jazz Under Glass: A Winter Celebration and Fundraiser will take place on February 24 from 1pm to 3pm. The event will take place at the Dudley Greenhouse (11 Brook Ave, Roxbury).
