Boston Partners in Education | Oct. 18

Boston Partners in Education is helping communities academically! Become a mentor at one of Dorchester's Boston Public Schools to help a student! For one hour a week, you can help a student gain confidence and skills in order to succeed. Boston Partners in Education provides training and support sessions for you. Hancock Civic Association Meeting | March 15 2012

The Hancock Civic Association Monthly meeting takes place every third Thursday of each month at the Bird Street Community Center. This meeting is usually small, and there were only 9 people in attendance. Officer Miller and Officer Rory delivered the B-2 and C-11 Crime Reports. Both were uneventful, and contained no incidents residents needed to be aware of. Officer Rory announced that later in June, district C-11 will be having a bike rodeo. The event will highlight bicycle safety tips and other information about biking. The event will feature helmets, fingerprints, an obstacle course, fun, games, bike safety tips and more! Jessica DaSilva, from Rep. Frank Baker's office released information about the eAlert initiative, which can let residents know of crime and local stories and events immediately. Hancock Street Civic Meeting Nov. 17

The Hancock Street Civic Association will be holding their monthly meeting this November on Thursday, November 17th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the meeting will be held on the second floor of the Bird Street Community Center Building, 500 Columbia Road in Dorchester. The Civic Association meeting is held on the third Thursday of every month. Due to a limited agenda, the meeting may adjourn before 8:00 p.m. in order to attend the meeting at Dorchester Bay EDC.
