Join other women and girls to learn about GirlTrek and start walking! There will be prizes, family fun, and snacks. Get a jumpstart on your health while being a change maker. The Embrace Your Journey 5K Walk/Run: The Road to Wellness is a joint effort empowered by The Dimock Center, Hoodfit and the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) The 5K Walk/Run will take place on Saturday, September 12, beginning and ending on The Dimock Center's campus. The event will include a 5K race, a 2-mile walk and a kids fun run. A celebratory health and wellness festival will round out the day, with more information to come!

Their first community running clinic, aimed at helping participants of all fitness levels meet their fitness goals, will be held this month! The clinic will be led by the B.A.A. and will include run/walk training groups, strength-based exercises, jogging and running groups.

Open Streets Open World | September 29

Walk, Bike and/or Dance along with Circle the City as they celebrate their 2ND Annual Open Streets Open World on Blue Hill Avenue.

This event will be taking the streets and turning them into a path of excitement.  There will be safe bike trails, games, live music and more. Open streets, Open world is free to the public, and is family orientated. Sunday, September 29th, the festivities will begin at 1PM on Dudley Street. Feel free to take your time and engage with your community while being active.

2nd Annual Free2Walk Event | July 14

The Massachusetts chapter of Not for Sale is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Free2Walk Event: A Historic Journey though the Abolitionist Movement in Boston. On the walk, participants will travel through downtown Boston, stopping at historical sites significant to the abolitionist movement, while also learning about current efforts to combat modern day slavery globally and locally. Volunteers are needed to help make this event happen!
