Pre-Halloween Supper and 'N The Mix' Open Mic | Oct 30

Dot2Dot Cafe will be hosting a Pre-Halloween supper for your little ones which is the perfect excuse for them to wear their costume twice.  Treats and goodies laid on by 'On the Dot Books' and child-friendly meals will be served from 4pm.

6pm to 10pm Dot2Dot Cafe will be hosting their first dinner and 'N The Mix' Open Mic  with spoken word and live music. Go listen and be heard, enjoy some community time and EAT some really good food.

Friday January 31 – Open Mic Night, in collaboration with the Boston School of Music Arts. Dinner from 6pm – $10 minimum spend per person. Music starts from 7pm.

Open Mic Night | September 27

Friday September 27 – Open Mic Night, Doors open at 6pm. This Open Mic will be hosted by the Boston School of Music Arts. 
 
The school, launched in 2010, is located in the Lower Mills and provides professional-quality music education to adults and children of all ages and levels. With over 200 student families, studying everything from voice, piano, guitar , drums, saxophone just to name a few.
 
 Everyone is welcome to perform. Dot 2 Dot Cafe would like you to support them  by purchasing something from their dinner menu (minimum spend $10 for adults, $7 children up to 12 years).

Poetry Open Mic Night @ Uphams Corner | Feb. 19

 

Showcase your poetic talent at Uphams Corner Branch Library on Febuary 19. At 4pm, poets will be welcome to perform at this Open Mic event. All ages are welcome and all styles are welcome. Poets may speak/sing in English, Spanish, Cape Verdean or in Vietnamese. No profanity. Each poet gets 3 minutes. You may pre-register by calling 617-265-0139 or signing up at Uphams Corner Branch. Maximum of 25 poets.

This Friday Dot 2 Dot Cafe will host an Open Mic Night.  All are invited to express themselves, whether it be by song, poetry, humour, spoken word.  To share in a community – to break bread with your brother be he black, white, yellow or red, gay or straight, young or old.  To take some time to find out who it is you live amongst and identify yourself as part of a community that cares about its people, cares about its children.  

"Together we can welcome in 2013 and make a positive choice to look out for our fellow men or women, to treat others as we would like to be treated, to be sure in our hearts that, right now, we can begin to make a difference."

UMass Boston Open Mic Night | Oct. 4

Wirte On The Dot is hosting a UMass Boston Open Mic Night next Thursday, October 4th starting at 7PM at Savin Bar & Kitchen. All are welcome to come hear UMBers recite poetry, short fiction, hip hop, spoken word, or whatever else comes to bear.

Savin Bar & Kitchen has prepared a special menu of craft beers, select $5 appetizers, and a literarily themed whiskey drink called The Salinger.

First Open Mic of 2012 at Dot2Dot! Jan. 27

Dot2Dot will be hosting their first open mic of 2012! C.R.A.K. Poetry Youth Speaks Open Mic!

On Thursday, January 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. C.R.A.K. (Creativity Revolutionized Around Knowledge) "Youth Speaks" will be hosting an open mic! This open mic is open aimed for youth ages 3 - 20, but everyone is welcome to support and be a part of the audience!
