Sticks, Stones, & Words: a panel discussion at Fenway | Nov. 27

The Boundless series presents a panel discussion on how language affects various aspects of women’s lives. The discussion will focus on language’s damaging effects as well as its ability to heal and empower. Audience participation will be encouraged. Panelists include: Dr. Yvonne Gomez-Carrion—OB/GYN at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Ashley-Rose Salomon—spoken-word poet and mental wellness educator, and Amanda Villani—student of women, gender, and sexuality studies at Harvard University.

Educating Women about the Health Care Law | July 9

Join the Connors Center for Women's Health and Gender Biology at Brigham & Women's Hostpital for this free program. Learn from leading women's health experts how reform can improve the health and well-being of Massachusetts women and their families. Topics include: How the law protects women and their families, free preventive and wellness services for women and their families, and women insurance eligibilty and coverage options. Do It Right! And Prevent Fractures! | March 26

American Bone Health is partnering with Healthworks Community Fitness for a bone safe exercise event with certified instructors teaching safe exercise postures.  The event will take place at Healthworks (450 Washington Street) from 9:30AM to 11AM, and participants will be taught how exercise and nutrition help your bones, which exercises to avoid if you have osteoporosis or low bone mass.  Experts will be on hand to answer and questions on bone health and various treatments.
