Boston Park Advocates Summit | May 12

Learn about Community Preservation Act, newly endorsed by Mayor Walsh, and the resources and improvements it can bring to Boston Parks. Participate in special Imagine Boson 2030 visioning session about how we want to shape the city in coming decades.

Puppet Show | August 4

Boston Parks and Recreation Dept. host marionette puppet show. Participation is free and materials are provided, but young children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of six or more must make prior arrangements by calling the Boston Parks Department (617) 635-4505).  Bring your kid to enjoy a fun time with professional puppeteers.

Ceremony @ Hunt-Almont Park | August 24

On August 24, Mayor Menino will kick off a ceremony at Hunt-Almont Park to begin the renovations. The ceremony will start at 10:30am. If you support the renovation of parks in Boston, come support the renovations of Hunt-Almont Park! (Hunt-Almont Park is located at 40 Almont Street, Mattapan MA.)

"Strictly Sinatra" Band Concert | August 16

ParkARTS presents "Strictly Sinatra" - a neighborhood concert starting at 7pm. The concert will take place at McConnell Park in Savin Hill. Loesch Park Family Fun Day | July 7

Mayor Thomas M. Menino will join Dorchester residents for the official unveiling of more than $1,000,000 in improvements to Dr. Loesch Family Park on Saturday, July 7, at 2 p.m. The reopening of Dr. Loesch Family Park will be combined with a Family Fun Day beginning at 11 a.m. organized by St. Mark’s Parish and sponsored by park partners Codman Square Neighborhood Council and BOLD Teens. >> Read More

Free Painting Workshop at Geneva Cliffs | June 9

ParkARTS of Boston is pleased to announce a free watercolor painting workshop for residents ages 9 or older at Geneva Cliffs Urban Wild Sat., June 9 from 12PM to 2PM. 

The free workshop is part of the Mayor's ParkARTS program which brings professional artists into Boston's neighborhood parks. Materials are generously supplied by Blick Art Materials. For more information about summer programs in the parks, please visit: cityofboston.gov/parks.

Mayor Menino's Coffee Hours & Park Opening Celebrations | June 11

Beginning in early May, Mayor Menino will be making stops all over Boston's neighborhoods during "Coffee Hours and Park Opening Celebrations". Monday, June 11 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM the Mayor presides over the Park Opening Celebration at the Rev. Loesch Family Park.
