Food Co-op Meet & Greet | June 16

Wondering what is going on behind the scenes at the Food Co-Op? Join the Dorchester Food Co-op for a Summer Meet & Greet at Restaurante Cesaria (266 Bowdoin Street) on June 16 from 6pm to 8pm. This event will feature good company and good food. Furthermore, the Spring Membership Drive will be extended one more week. There are great raffle prizes to be won... which will be drawn at the Meet & Greet.

Dorchester Community Food Co-op Food & Justice Mini Film Festival | July 18 + August 3

The Dorchester Community Food Co-Op is showing a film series! Come together for food, film and discussion at the first annual Dorchester Community Food Co-op Food & Justice Mini Film Festival. Soul Food Junkies will be the first film and Shift Change will be the second film. It will be shown on July 18 at 7pm in the Great Hall (6 Norfolk Street in Dorchester.) The second film will be shown on August 3 at 6pm at Savin Hill Yoga Cooperative (11 Pearl Street in Dorchester). Soul Food Junkies is a film that explores Soul Food as a culinary tradition and the emotional attachments people form with food. Shift Change is a documentary about building the co-op movement. Food Co-Op Community Hub | July 13

Don't miss the grand opening of the beautiful new Bowdoin-Geneva Community Hub! The Sustainability Guild and numerous community volunteers have been working tirelessly to creative a vibrant and welcoming space for neighbors to connect, relax, learn, teach, play and share. Programs will include workshops on health, fitness, healthy eating, movement, art and culture. This grand opening will take place from 11am to 3pm on July 13. Dorchester Food Coop Meeting | March 18

The Dorchester Community Food Coop is holding a general meeting on March 18 from 7pm to 9pm at 10 Parish Street in Dorchester. For newcomers, 7 to 7:30pm will be an orientation. From 7:30 to 9pm, come hear about the results of our feasibility study, learn about the Vision Fund, meet the board and join in planning of the new Food Coop. Dorchester Winter Farmers Market

The Dorchester Community Food Coop is supporting the second season of the Dorchester Winter Farmers Market! The Market will be open  from 12pm to 4pm at the Codman Square Great Hall (Corner of Washington Street and Talbot Ave). This year will have more vendors than last year!
The Farmer’s Market runs every Sunday from January 6th to March 24th. The market also features music, food trucks and children’s activities. SNAP participants and EBT cards are welcome and accepted.

Food Co-Op Holiday Party | Dec. 17

 

The Dorchester Community Food Coop Annual Meeting and Holiday Party will take place on December 17 from 6pm to 8pm. The event will take place at Restaurante Cesaria (266 Bowdoin Street in Dorchester). Don't miss these delicious appetizers! The meeting will discuss topics such as accomplishments of the past year, healhy food systems in Dorchester, upcoming plans, and more!

 

Fresh Fridays! A Global Fusion of Taste and Sound | Aug. 3 - Sep. 14

The Dorchester Community Food Co-op and the Sustainability Guild International present an exciting series of Friday night events August through September. These event will be "nutritious nights out" featuring savory food and beverages, live music, slam poetry, activities for kids, local community chefs and cooking demos. Help celebrate the essence of Dorchester through diverse voices, talents and flavors!
