Boston Cyclist Union Open House| July 30th

The Boston Cyclist Union is having an open meeting on July 30th to ensure that Dorchester is a safer place for those who bike.  They want you to come and discuss ways to make Dorchester more biker friendly with the Boston Redevelopment Authority forming a plan that works for the community.

Flat Fixing Clinic | April 30

Throughout the year, we offer free clinics every month on various topics. No registration is required to take the classes.

Some of the workshops are hands-on, though particpants will not be working on their own bikes, so it is perfectly fine to come without one.  Please come dressed in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. 

Learn how to remove a tire, patch a tube, and remount them on the rim at this clinic!

Boston Cyclists Union Spring Neponset Ride | March 28

Neponset Bike Path

From Paul's Bridge at the Milton Readville line, we'll follow the bike lanes on Truman Parkway north along the Neponset River, then cut through Milton along the river to the first section of the Neponset Trail, which we'll follow to Tenean Beach in Dorchester. We'll follow the route of the future Dorchester Coast Trail to Columbia Point, where we'll pick up the existing paved path along Boston Harbor past UMass/Boston, the Kennedy Library, and the Harbor Point Apartments to Carson Beach and Castle Island. Then we'll head back through South Boston and Malibu Beach to Freeport St., where we'll head through Dorchester to Adams St. and paths through Dorchester Park. We'll cross the Neponset on Dorchester Ave and Adams St. and follow Eliot St. above the trail to Central Ave., where we'll cross back to Boston and take River St. to Mattapan Square, where we'll pick up the Truman Parkway stretch of the trail and follow it south to the starting point.

Boston Cyclist Union Spring Kickoff Party

On Thursday, April 24 the Boston Cyclists Union will host their Spring Kickoff Party. This event is scheduled to take place at Villa Victoria Center for the Arts located at 85 West Newton Street in Boston’s South End from 6:30 until 9:30 pm. This event will have music provided by DJ Trizlam and Mixmaster Mully. Food will be provided by El Pelon. There will also be free beer and wine provided by Cambridge Brewing Company, Top Johnny’s, and Bauer Wine and Spirits. Attendees will also have a chance to take home a Copenhagen Wheel, a new Linus or Fuji bike from Ashmont Cycles, a new folding bike from fBike Direct or many other raffle prizes.
