HELP: Human Services Employment Ladder Program

HELP is an acronym for Human Services Employment Ladder Program. It is an eight week, Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm skills training program offered at Goodwill’s headquarters, 1010 Harrison Ave., Boston.

What’s unique to this program is that students have the opportunity to intern in the onsite Day Habilitation program to get hands on experience and they have an opportunity to participate in onsite interviews with formal and informal employer partners.

They are providing orientations on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30am and they ask candidates to go through a screening process which includes an interview to assess eligibility. A strong desire to help people, a MA driver’s license and a flexible schedule will ensure employment in the field. If candidates have any barriers working in human services, we give them resources to help them move in a different direction that makes sense for them.
