The People's Academy is a small non-profit pre-apprenticeship program in the building trades. The People’s Academy has a vested interest in the Boston communities of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan. 

Mission:

• Create a youth population in the inner city that is employable and committed to the improvement of the neighborhoods in which they live.
• Empower disenfranchised youth with a means to make a living while improving their surroundings.

Initially, The People's Academy will offer a two-year pre-apprenticeship program in sheet metal working. The goal is for the first class to begin soon.
