Human Library/Living Books | April 23

The Human Library event is a celebration of human diversity, part of worldwide movement that started in 2000. This international initiative creates a safe and relaxed environment to encourage people from different backgrounds to come together and learn from each other. The "books" want to hear YOUR story too! “It’s more interactive than just checking out a book,” said one Human Library fan “You get to check out a person.”

At this free event, patrons ( members of the public) are welcomed by a "Librarian" who explains what "books" are available ( what persons each representing a discriminated segment of society are available for a private talk) There will be around 10 books to select from. See how many you can "read" in various corners of the library in three hours! Kids and all ages welcome.
