Kids Lego Builders | Jan 5

Lego Builders will meet every other Saturday morning to build fantastic creations. Kids ages 4-14 are welcome to drop in -- no registration required. The first 15 kids are guaranteed to have enough materials. No groups please.

Toe Jam Puppet Band | Dec. 22

The Boston Public Library proudly welcomes the ever popular, kids favorite Toe Jam Puppet Band for zany and exuberant family shows during December vacation week! Toe Jam offers children’s entertainment that families can enjoy together. The unique musical performances are very interactive and theatrical. Audience members of all ages are encouraged to sing and dance along with Toe Jam as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs and interactive storytelling. Get ready for a Car Wash, watch out for the Flying Laundry and be prepared to laugh with glee, Toe Jam style! Toe Jam will be performing songs from their Winter Variety Show, including a Penguin Line Dance and an extraordinary indoor snow storm!

Halloween at Frog Pond | Oct. 31

Take your little ghosts and goblins for a spin on the Spooky Carousel this Halloween. Rosalita’s Puppets brings you storyteller “Aunty Goose” with hand puppets, comedy, audience participation, and music from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Magic tricks and sweet treats will be offered by Boston area magician Kayla Drescher from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Frog Pond Freddie will welcome youngsters throughout the evening. Prizes for best costumes. Join us… if you dare! Carousel rides are $3.

Kids with Asthma Can Swim

 

Kids with Asthma Can Swim (Starting October 18th, every Wednesday and Thursday 4:00-6:00pm, until January 3rd).  Kids with Asthma Can Swim is a FREE program combining asthma education and swimming lessons to improve the health and well-being of children with asthma. Get ready for a dinner and movie night the whole family can enjoy. Happening at Dot 2 Dot Cafe on Friday Oct. 19th. Dinner starts at 6pm followed by a showing of 'Hocus Pocus' (PG)  Set menu: adults $20, kids $12.

Movie Snoypsis: After 300 years, three sister witches are resurrected in Salem Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it us up to two teenagers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to the witches reign of terror once and for all.

 

 

Real Talk: Positive Approaches to Discipline | Nov. 7

Come join us for dinner and learn some positive ways to discipline the young child in your life! This session helps parents understand typical anger triggers & responses. Strategies for managing their anger in healthy and productive ways are   shared, as are appropriate responses for parents to use when their children become frustrated or angry.
