Wonder Women of Boston is an opportunity for ambitious, accomplished women of all ages to mix and mingle. This event is open to the public with a $5 entry fee which benefits Dot Art. The mission of dot art, Dorchester Community Center for the Visual Arts, is to make exemplary visual arts education available to everyone in Dorchester and its surrounding neighborhoods.

Wonder Women of Boston Networking Event | August 16

On August 16, Wonder Women of Boston are hosting a networking event from 6pm to 8pm. The networking event will take place at the Back Bay Social Club (867 Boylston Street, Boston MA). Domestic Violence Prevention Forum, Aug. 6

Haitian Women of BostonHaitian Women of Boston (AFAB) will hold their annual Domestic Violence Prevention Forum on Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The forum, entitled "Healthy Families Ensure Healthy Communities," features workshops on "Protecting your body," "TPS (Temporary Protected Status): the future of Haitian immigrants," "Family Stabilization Team" and "Advocates navigating for DV clients in health centers & beyond." Mary R.Lauby, ED of Jane Doe, Inc. will give a keynote speech. Applications for 2011-2012 Red Thread Fellowship Program are now Open! The Red Thread Fellowship is available to college-bound women of international backgrounds who will be entering an American college or university in fall 2011. The fellowship consists of two parts: a scholarship award and year-long mentorship support.
