The Friends of the Adams Street Library have 60 slots reserved for the annual outing to Spectacle Island. Please RSVP to maryobrien14@comcast.net or at friendsoftheadamsst@gmail.com. On Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. learn something new at The Adams Street Branch Library! The Adams Street Branch and the National Park Service are teaming up to bring the community a free 45-minute slideshow about the War of 1812! The Adams Street Branch is located at 690 Adams Street in Dorchester, MA 02122.

'Voices of History' at Adams Street Branch Library Jan. 30

Members of the Handel & Haydn Society of Boston will be at the Adams Street Branch Library on January 30, 2012! Starting at 6:30 p.m., a quartet of singers will be performing music from different periods of an entire millenium, from 1100 to 1994 with the motifs of classical, folk, and multi-cultural genres. Riffs & Raps Oct. 1

Riffs & Raps Jazzin' the Generations will be held at the Adams Street Branch Library on October 1st. The concert will feature musicians Arni Cheatham, Bill Lowe and Kevin Harris. Travel through the ages with a live musical tour from the roots of jazz in blues and spirituals through the Great American Songbook right up to the many sounds of jazz today, with some other musical traditions and international sounds along the way.
