Gingerbread House Crafternoon | Dec 23

Join Fields Corner Branch for a fun gingerbread house decorating party. The pre-assembled, frosted gingerbread house, candy will be provided. Decorating tips plus guidance from local artist Leslie MacWeeney.  All ages are welcome; pre-registration is required. Contact the library at 617.436.2155 to register.

Midweek Matinee: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles | Nov 25

Come watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: a comedy film written, produced and directed by John Hughes. The film stars Steve Martin as Neal Page, a high-strung marketing executive, who meets Del Griffith, played by John Candy, an eternally optimistic, outgoing, overly talkative, and clumsy shower curtain ring salesman who seems to live in a world governed by a different set of rules. They share a three-day odyssey of misadventures trying to get Neal home to Chicago from New York City in time for Thanksgiving dinner with his family. Rated R.

Homework Help | Nov 24

Boston Public Library locations offer free after-school homework help and mentorship provided by high-achieving high school students. Open to students in grades K-8. No registration required. Homework Help is not available on BPS holidays, early-release days, or long weekends,

Ornament Making Workshops | Nov 17-19 & 24

Create an ornament to hang from the Fields Corner community tree. Local artist Leslie MacWeeney will join in to guide participants in the creation of the ornaments.

November Story Hour | Nov 19

Join the Fields Corner Library and Chill on Park for the Folk Tales for Fall Story Hour. Taste of homemade ice cream pie, jelly roll ice cream treats, hot chocolate, hot caramel apple cider,  & delicious pecan squares.
