Starting at 10:30am on July 24, Preschool and Kindergarten children can read stories, create crafts, watch films and have fun! Kindergarten students will be able to create their own crafts and delve into stories while younger children (2 and up) watch Preschool films! Tea at 221B: The Many Faces of Sherlock Holmes | March 30

The Friends of the Field Corner Branch will host a presentation about how the world has kept Arthur Conan Doyle's creation alive through movies and television, pastiche and parody. Winter Solstice @ Fields Corner Branch Dec. 13

Fields Corner Branch will be hosting a Winter Solstice Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 13, at 6:30 p.m. A Holiday Festival of Renaissance, Baroque, and Christmas music performed by the Albion Consort! The event will also include refreshments and a book raffle to usher in the holiday season. The Fields Corner Branch is located at 1520 Dorchester Avenue. Parent-Child Playgroup and Storytime

Free play time for parents and toddlers with a short story and song session at 11:30. Every Friday from 11-12:30 p.m. at The Fields Corner Branch Library. We will have live music with Su Eaton on October 28th. This is a collaboration between Countdown to Kindergarten Play to Learn playgroups and The Fields Corner Branch Library.

"Just So Stories" at Fields Corner, Aug. 10

What's popping up at Fields Corner Branch Library on Wednesday, August 10? More than "just" puppets! The Mighty Tatterdemalian Puppet Co. will present an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's famed "Just So Stories." Come by at 10:30 a.m. for a terrific show!

Museum of Science: World of Bridges, Jul. 8

BridgeWhat's the secret to bridges? How do they really work and what's the science behind them? Learn all about it at the "World of Bridges" event at Fields Corner Library (1520 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, 02122)! Two friends, Alicia and Miguel are trying to build a bridge between their house, but they run into a lot of problems. The audience will help them solve their problems in a hands-on engineering activity. Be there at 10:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. to join the fun! (Children 6-12 recommended. Registration is required.) The Cultural Party, Aug. 12
