Family Fun Day @ the Market | July 12

Come to the Bowdoin Geneva Farmers Market (230 Bowdoin Street, Boston MA) from 3:00pm to 6:30pm for lots of fun activities including special guests Vegetable Circus who’ll be teaching various circus arts (along with healthy eating) at the market! Other events include juggling lessons, games/prizes, and facepainting. This is a great event for family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.

Food in the 'Hood Meeting Jan. 18

Bowdoin-Geneva Community Day, Aug. 13

Violence Intervention PreventionBowdoin-Geneva Community Day will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Reverand Allen Park in Dorchester across St. Peter’s Church from 12 to 4 p.m. (rain date, August 14, 2011). The community day features ample entertainment, free food (hamburger, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream) and fun. Boston Police K-9 dogs will be present, as will a fire truck, face painters and more. There will also be resources there for the community. This event is open to the whole Dorchester Community, for all ages, young and old. This event is being put on by Bowdoin/Geneva Violence Intervention Program, along with St. Peter’s Teen Center and St. Peter’s Parish. Healthy Summer Kickoff, Jul. 7

Bowdoin Street Health CenterOn Thursday July 7, 2011 from 3 to 6 p.m. the Bowdoin Street Health Center at 230 Bowdoin Street in Dorchester will launch the 2011 Bowdoin Geneva Farmer’s Market. The kickoff event will include free samples, games, music, face painting, and prizes! Join us for an afternoon of fun, family and food! Fresh vegetables, fruits and baked breads are available from local farms and bakeries, including Land’s Sake, City Harvest and Ward’s Berry Farm.

The Farmer's Market events will run every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Bowdoin Street Health Center Parking Lot, starting July 7 and ending October 27. Cash, EBT, WIC and Senior Coupons are accepted and you save 50% when you use your EBT card at the market!
