Community Health and Job Fair | June 18

The Vietnamese Health Collaborative and community partners will present a Community Health, Wellness and Job Fair, providing free health screenings, health education, demonstrations and fun activities for the entire family.

The event will also feature local employers hiring for dozens of jobs across a range of positions.

The hospital is recruiting for a variety of positions including: Staff RN (ED, ICU, OR and Psych), CT Scan/X-Ray Techs, Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Maintenance Mechanics, Mental Health Counselor positions and more.

Dr. Martin Williams Presents: American Heroes | Feb 17

Dr. Martin Williams will give a presentation on the history of the Tuskegee Airmen as part of a Black History Month celebration at Carney Hospital. Also enjoy a special performance from members of Boston's Black Catholic Choir and St. Angela's Church.

Family Health and Nutrition Fair | May 17

Carney Hospital (2100 Dorchester Ave) is hosting a free Family Health & Nutrition Fair on May 17 from 10am to 2pm. The event will include health screenings, education, family activities and nutritious food for the community. In addition, the participating chefs will share their recipes and ingredients so that visitors may prepare the healthy recipes at home. Carney Hospital Free Flu Clinic | November 3 & November 6

Sunday, November 3, from 9:30am-11am & Wednesday November 6 from 6pm-8pmCarney Hospital will administer free vaccination to the community. You do not need to be a patient to receive a Flu Vaccination. Getting a vaccination is one way to protect yourself from the flu virus and prevents spreading it to our love ones

Free Flu Clinic @ Carney Hospital | Jan. 17

Carney Hospital (2100 Dorchester Ave) will be hosting a free flu clinic for the community on January 17 from 5:30pm to 8pm. All are welcome over the age of 4. Remember: You do not need to be a patient of the hospital to receive a vaccination. For more info, call 617-506-2852.

Softball at Dorchester Park | July 12

 

July 12 will be the first official game of Codman Virus versus The Carney Hospital of the season at 5:30pm. If interested in participating, email Candice.Gartley@codman.org to get a shirt fitted. If you are playing and have a glove, please bring it. The games will take place at beautiful Dorchester Park right behind the Carney Hospital (2100 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02124). It’s a lovely relaxed setting so even if you spectate you will certainly enjoy yourself. RSVP as soon as possible!

Men of Color To Arms! The Story of the 54th Massachusetts Regiment

Labouré College and Carney Hospital, In partnership with the Boston African American National Historic Site, will present "Men of Color To Arms! The Story of the 54th Massachusetts Regiment." On February 9th, 2012, see the event at Carney Hospital Riseman Lecture Hall, 2100 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester 02124. There will be refreshments at 5:30 p.m. and a presentation at 6:00 p.m. This presentation will be jointly led by Lt. Col. David Hencke, Executive Officer, 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Regiment; Sgt. Emmett Bell-Sykes, President, 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Company A; and Ryan McNabb, Acting Site Manager, Boston African American National Historic Site. See flyer attached below:
