Come out to the 4th Annual Jazz Under Glass fundraiser at the Dudley Greenhouse, featuring the Fred Woodard Quartet with guest vocalist and emcee Fulani Haynes and fashions by The House of Nahdra. City Farm Fest | May 14

Join The Food Project for their annual seedling and garden supply sale! Vegetable, herb, and flower seedlings to start your garden. Compost, fertilizer, and more to keep it growing and healthy.Children welcome! Seed art and other activities for kids.

*NOTE: This event is for residents of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan.

Fall Festival | Nov 21

 The Food Project’s annual late fall farmers market, featuring cooking demonstrations, children’s activities, food, and more! Purchase winter squash, salad greens, winter greens, and root vegetables grown locally. EBT/SNAP, cash, credit, and debit accepted.

Children’s activities will be hands-on, seasonal, and appropriate for a range of age groups. There will be giveaway bags for the first 40 kids in the door.

When: Saturday, November 21 11 a.m.–2 p.m

Can’t make it on November 21? You can purchase your fall veggies without the festivities at our early-bird farmers market on Friday, November 20 from 4:30–6:30 p.m.

The Dudley Greenhouse Advisory Committee invites you to Jazz Under Glass, a celebration and fundraiser to support community-based programming at the Dudley Greenhouse. Jazz Under Glass will feature the Fred Woodard Quartet with guest vocalist and emcee Fulani Haynes as well as fashions presented by The House of Nahdra. Ticket price includes food from neighboring chefs, entertainment, greenhouse tours, and family activities.

Boston City Farm Fest | May 9

Come to Boston City Farm Fest!
Purchase seedlings, compost, fertilizer, and other supplies for your garden and have gardening questions answered by community volunteers. Bring a soil sample for your garden to make sure your soil is safe to grow in, and learn what to do if it's not. (Instructions here.) Bring along children to explore the flourishing greenhouse and participate in children's art projects. Seedlings are sold on a sliding scale from $3-5 per pack, and compost is available at $5 per bag (in our bags) or less in your own containers.

Canning Basics | August 13

The Food Project presents 3 exciting workshops for Grow Well, Eat Well, Be Well. All workshops require advanced registration by phone or email: buildagarden@thefoodproject.org or 617-442-1322x68. Children ages 13+ are welcome to join their parents.
 
Canning Basics (August 13):
Preserve the summer's bounty in this hands-on class! Discuss canning equipment and safety measures, try out a few recipes and explore healthy ways to add flavor to food! Canning Basics will take place from 6:00pm to 8:30pm on August 13 at The Food Project Kitchen (555 Dudley Street in Dorchester).
