Dress Addressed 3rd Annual Prom Dress Drive, May 10, 24, 31

Ladies - do you need a dress or accessories for prom? The Grove Hall Community Center is hosting its third annual Prom Dress Drive to ensure all young women can attend their prom and look fabulous at the same time! You may keep the dress you find at the drive. This event will take place at 51 Geneva Ave from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m on Tuesday, May 10; 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24; and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31. See you there!

RDM Transit Needs Update, May 10

The second round of public meetings for the Roxbury/Dorchester/Mattapan Transit Needs Study is taking place now. On Tuesday, May 10, a meeting will be conducted from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mattapan Branch Library, 1350 Blue Hill Avenue. Over the next year, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will work with the Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan neighborhoods to develop short and long-term strategies to improve the public transit system. The objective is to make the system more responsive to the needs of riders. Please take the transit study survey online at

Vendors - Join the Grove Hall Farmers' Market!

Greater Grove Hall Main StreetsThe Grove Hall Farmers' Market is looking for dedicated farmers interested in offering fresh produce to Roxbury and North Dorchester residents and consumers. The Market will be located adjacent to the Flames Restaurant located at 469 Blue Hill Avenue. The space is easily accessible by public transportion (bus routes: 14, 19, 23, 28, 45) and offers a free public parking lot behind the market. Unique crafts are sought in addition to fruits, vegetables, etc. Grove Hall Farmers' Market will run from Tuesdays July 12th to October 25th, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Seasonal Cost for vendors is $50.
