I AMM is the new Arts and Multi-Media Program at the Dotwell Teen Center. There are two different clubs run through I AMM, the Film Crew and Drawing Club, as well as many other opportunities for Art exploration.

The Dotwell Teen Center is located inside Dorchester House, on 1353 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester MA.
Hours of operation are from 2pm-6pm Monday through Friday.

On February 4th, artwork by the Drawing Club was on display at the Massachusetts State House as part of an After School Advocacy Day program. Speakers at the event stressed the importance of funding after school programs, and displaying artwork created at after school programs helped to stress this point. Works by Trea Crayton, Jose Mendes, Shelton Sterling, and Anslem Edegbe were featured. Photos from the event and their work are shown below. The Teen Center Movie was finished and premiered Friday, December 11th, in the Dotwell Teen Center and in the waiting rooms of the Codman Square Health Center.  The film can also be seen on BNN, the Boston Neightborhood Network Television station.  Thank you to all the members of the Film Crew, the Teen Center, and Dotwell for helping to make this film a sucess.

The Film Crew is a group of teens that meets weekly to learn how to use a video camera and editing software so that they can make their own short movies and video clips.

The Film Crew recently finished a short promotional film about the Teen Center, and the film can be seen in the waiting rooms of the Codman Square Health Center and on BNN, the Boston Neighborhood Network television station.

The group meets every Tuesday at 5pm in the DotWell Teen Center and new members are always welcome.

The Drawing Club is a weekly group at the Dotwell Teen Center at Dorchester House centered around the awesomeness of drawing.   Drawing club provides teens with materials for drawing and encourages them to try different styles of drawing and work with each other to get inspiration and feedback about their work.  The drawing club also works as a group in public arts projects and take fields trips to see different works of art at museums and meet with local artists.

Drawing Club meets at 5pm every Thursday in the Dotwell Teen Center.  New members are always welcome!
