Free "Active Parenting Now in 3" Sessions, June 9, 16 & 23

"Happy families aren't born... they're made one day at a time!" Parents of children ages 5 to 12 are invited to learn about parenting styles, active communication, teaching responsibility and other aspects of child-rearing while enjoying a light dinner and the company of their peers. The Dorchester Substance Abuse Coalition will host "Active Parenting Now in 3" on consecutive Thursdays in June (9, 16,and 23) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Parenting sessions take place at the Neighborhood House Charter School, 21 Queen Street, Dorchester, MA and feature Susan West, Certified Active Parenting Now Trainer, and Danielle Owen, LADCH, of the Irish International Immigrant Center.
