Bowdoin Geneva Farmers Market Opens for its 6th Season 

Healthy Summer Kick-off Event, Thursday, June 20th, 2013, 2:30-6:30pm in the parking lot of the Bowdoin Street Health Center, 230 Bowdoin Street, Dorchester   

Grand Re-Opening Ribbon Cutting to be held at 3:30pm welcoming shoppers to the market    

Market continues every THURSDAY through the end of October (closed July 4th)          

On June 20th, the market will open its proverbial doors for the season in the parking lot of the Bowdoin Street Health Center with its annual Healthy Summer Kick-Off.  The market is open to the public every Thursday from 2:30-6:30pm and provides a vibrant community gathering space in addition to the market itself.  On the Third Thursday of each month, the market expands for its special event series with music performances, prizes, and more!  Finally, this year’s market season will draw to a close with a giant Halloween Harvest Festival on Thursday, October 31st.    

SNAP/EBT, WIC, and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupons accepted as well as cash and credit/debit cards.  The Bowdoin Geneva Farmers Market is a Boston Bounty Bucks market – allowing SNAP/EBT users to double their dollars on farmers market purchases up to $20!     The Bowdoin Geneva Farmers Market is a joint effort of the Bowdoin Street Health Center and Bowdoin Geneva Main Streets with support from the Boston Collaborative for Food and Fitness, Healthy Dorchester, and the Mayor’s Office of Food Initiatives.
